An ambitious musical and technological journey that traces the lineage of string instruments in Latin America.
The project took the maestra on a journey of nearly 13,000 kilometers across 10 countries, collaborating with 17 guest artists with the aim of celebrating the diversity of American string instruments, which she affectionately calls "siblings of the guitar."
The album is an ambitious mosaic of sounds that seeks to bring together classical guitar with instruments such as the Chilean guitarrón, the Puerto Rican cuatro, the Brazilian bandolim, and the Paraguayan harp. Rojas asserts that the guitar is "the bridge" that respectfully approaches to initiate a dialogue where "everything is fine... coming from respect, care, and affection."
